The supportive piece also allowed us to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe. A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots. Nike reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe and medial forefoot.
